Assessing a new credit line request
Jose works in the Financial Institutions department for a Mexican bank. A Guatemalan bank has approached him and would like to have an intraday overdraft facility for funds transfers.
His first reply is to kindly decline given the poor press and economic situation Guatemala faces. However, the Guatemalan bank’s CEO personally calls Jose: he wants to assure Jose that they are bankable and he would like to demonstrate Jose its daily operations in real-time.
